摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantitative evaluation method of a wheel damage, in slip prevention control of a rolling stock, capable of performing simply and easily quantitative evaluation of the wheel damage in the slip prevention control. SOLUTION: This quantitative evaluation method of the wheel damage in the slip prevention control of the rolling stock is characterized by performing the quantitative evaluation to the wheel damage, by inputting the wheel damage quantity Q corresponding to a work by friction between a rail and the wheel into a wheel damage measuring part 21 and determining it by the theoretical expression, wherein F<SB>bi</SB>is a brake shoe frictional force of the i-th shaft, R<SB>i</SB>is a wheel radius of the i-th shaft, J<SB>i</SB>is a moment of inertia of the i-th shaft, v is a speed of a set of cars,ω<SB>i</SB>is an angular speed of the i-th shaft, and -v+R<SB>i</SB>ω<SB>i</SB>shows the slip speed between the rail and the wheel of the i-th shaft, under the condition of 1≤i≤n.
