PURPOSE:To eliminate defective welding at the connection between a lower end shield and a side support for obtaining a negative electrode structure of a magnetron having improved quality and reliability by interposing a solder material at the connection. CONSTITUTION: In this negative electrode structure of a magnetron, a lower end shield 3 and a side support 5 are fixedly connected by a solder material 7' interposed therebetween. After this welding, in order to protect the fixedly connected portion between the lower end shield 3 and the side support 5, another solder material 7 having a slightly lower melting point is used to fix a filament 1 and the upper and lower end shields 2, 3. As such a construction allows the lower end shield 3 and the side support 5 to be fixedly connected at a low welding temperature, generation of welding flash and chip will be prevented, avoiding after machining such as cutting or grinding after welding as well as preventing generation of spark after the structure is installed in a tube ball to complete the magnetron for improved withstand voltage characteristics. |
