<p>PURPOSE:To produce oxygen from air, with a compact apparatus in high efficiency, by passing air through a oxygen generator packed with a molecular sieve and having a particular shape. CONSTITUTION:A hydrated metal salt of a synthetic crystalline aluminosilicate is used as the molecular sieve. The molecular sieve (H) is filled in a generator having a diameter of 100mm and a reaction length of 300mm, air is introduced from one end of the generator at a flow rate of 10mm/sec, and the produced O2 is taken out of the generator from the outlet. The generation path 1 is composed of alternately arranged plural bent parts E and plural partition wall parts F. The casing 2 constituting the generator 1 is so constructed as to make a side wall of the generator 1 openable (I), and to make the opened part I closable with the lid 16 via the gasket 15. Air G is introduced through the line 4 and the inlet 3 into the generator 1 with the motor pump 9, and O2 is discharged through the outlet 6 and the line 4. The production of O2 can be stopped by cutting the supply of the outside air with the valves 5 working simultaneously by the aid of the common shaft 7.</p> |
