PURPOSE:To make a roll shifting dolly, used for moving a vertical roll in the width direction of a rolling stock, small in size and weight, by disposing he driving source of a driving device, used for shifting the vertical roll, on a fixed frame body. CONSTITUTION:In case of changing the position in the height direction of a vertical roll 5 used for edging a rolling stock (s), a pinion 12 is rotated through a bevel reducer 8 and a worm wheel 10, etc. provided to said dolly 7 via a spindle 21, by the driving source of a motor 19 and a bevel reducer 20 arranged on a fixed frame 18. By this construction, a vertical roll 5 housing cartridge 3 is vertically moved together with the vertical roll 5 in one body, by moving a rack 15 vertically. By such constitution, the dolly 7 is made small in size, and its weight is also reduced, because the motor 9 and the reducer 20, used for vertically moving the roll 5, are not mounted on the dolly 7. |
