BELT TYPE CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE FOR CASTING INGOT HAVING OPTIONAL WIDTH

摘要

PURPOSE:To permit the optional change of an ingot width by mounting movably a short side for controlling the ingot width between belts and incorporating plural pieces of short side retaining blocks into the cooling box behind the belts. CONSTITUTION:The short side 7 is moved to the short side 7a shown by an alternate long and two short dashes line and the short side retaining block 10 is pressed to the belt 2 as shown by an alternate long and two short dashes line via a rod 11 by a pushing device 13 to prevent the penetration of the molten metal between the belt 2 and the short side 7a in the stage of changing the ingot width. Plural pieces of the blocks 10 are installed in the cooling box 6 so as to meet as desired the need for changing the ingot width.
