PURPOSE:To improve the durability of an adhesive member and to separate a transfer material without degrading the characteristic of a photosensitive body by providing plural adhesive holding members in the axial direction of an image carrier and moving them peristaltically. CONSTITUTION:Adhesive rolls 91-94 are arranged in the axial direction of a drum 1. First, the roll 91 is brought into contact with the drum surface on a tangent (h), and the roll 92 approaches the drum surface to contact with the drum 1, and the roll 93 is moved to the drum 1 following the roll 92, and the roll 94 is moved backward from the drum 1. Next, the roll 91 is moved backward from the drum 1, and the roll 92 is brought into contact with the drum 1, and the roll 93 is moved to the drum 1, and the roll 94 is moved to the drum 1 following the roll 93. These rolls are moved peristaltically repeatedly in this manner. Thus, the time of contacting between rolls and the photosensitive body or the transfer paper is shortened to not only improve the durability of the adhesive members but also reduce influences upon the image carrier. |
