The invention provides a process for extracting potassium from industrial byproducts for use in agriculture and also equipment (apparatus) for carrying out the same, which comprises separating potassium in the form of crystals of potassium sulphate which are removed by decantation and centrifugation, with the particle size (determination) of the potassium sulphate crystals produced being improved, and thereby their separation from the previously concentrated byproducts to be processed being made easier, by the addition of mother liquor which is separated from crystals by centrifugation, and with this mixture being cooled during decantation. |
