The incandescent-material support consists of a one-piece grating with a support grate (10) and a perforated plate (12) which connects the ends of the webs (11) of the support grate and on which the incandescent material is placed. The incandescent-material support can be manufactured simply using the casting process. As a result of the one-piece connection between perforated plate (12) and support grate (10), great carrying capacity and a good compensation of temperature differences is achieved. <IMAGE>
