Quick-closing device for flowing media

The quick-closing device has two valve elements (30, 52), which are arranged between the inlet (41) and the outlet (47) of a housing (10). Both valve elements are situated inside a straight passage (15) and are controlled from opposite sides by piston-cylinder units (17, 61). The two valves, which are arranged in series in the path of flow, perform shut-off movements in opposite directions. The quick-closing device is designed as a compact unit of simple construction which takes up little space. <IMAGE>
