摘要 PURPOSE:To high accurately control a depth of cut with no influence being received in an external condition of vibration, air temperature, etc., by repeating double scanning of an optical spot between positions immediately before and after cutting and controlling a depth of cut by a tool on the basis of the information of reflective light. CONSTITUTION:A cutting work device, when it performs double scanning of a spot 15 while a cutting surface of a work 1 is focus controlled, outputs from an arithmetic circuit a signal (a), where T0 is a period of a shuttle circuit of a movable reflecting mirror 8 while T1 is a signal part corresponding of a surface 1c of the movable spot 15, obtaining a large positive value as compared with a signal part T2, T3 corresponding to scanning of a surface 1a and 1b of the spot 15. The device, obtaining voltage corresponding to a time of said signal part T1 to be compared with the reference voltage and obtaining a tool rest control signal, controls a depth of cut. In this way, the device, controlling a depth of cut (t) of a tool 2 using as the reference not the surface 1a before cutting but the surface 1c during cutting, enables a high accurate machined surface to be obtained by correctly maintaining the depth of cut.
