In the method according to the invention, an advertising pamphlet or the like is closed in a Leporello-like fashion using a sealing flap which is connected to the Leporello covering sheet by means of a folding line which takes the form of a perforated line or the like. The sealing flap can be folded around the rear of the Leporello arrangement and connected to the latter by gluing. The closed Leporello arrangement can then be glued into the journal at the outside surface of the sealing flap.
