PURPOSE:To clean effectively a felt filter belt at all times and to ensure its restoration in a belt press type hydroextractor by jetting cleaning water on the belt surface which is at least in contact with muddy substance at a specified angle. CONSTITUTION:In a belt press type hydroextractor that carries muddy substances by the napped side of an endless felt filter belt, and dehydrates by pressing by plural rotating rollers, cleaning water is jetted to at least a belt surface brought in contact with the muddy substance. At this time, an angle of jetting of cleaning water is made to 15 deg.-75 deg. to the belt surface, and jetting is made in the same direction with the direction of advance of the belt and in the direction reverse to the direction of advance of the belt. Thus, it becomes possible to clean the felt filter cloth belt effectively at all times, and to ensure its restoration. |
