PURPOSE:To sufficiently supply lubricating oil to a thrust receiving part and improve performance of lubrication and cooling by providing an oil jetting hole which communicates with a lubricating oil passage inside a cam shaft and opens in the bottom of an annular groove formed on one end part of the cam shaft. CONSTITUTION:An annular groove 12 is formed on one end part projecting from the cylinder head side of a cam shaft 2 which is rotatably supported by means of a cylinder head 1. An oil jetting hole 17, communicating with a lubricating oil passage inside the cam shaft 2, is opened in the bottom of the annular groove 12. A thrust receiving part 19, fitted to the annular groove, is formed on an oil seal retainer 9 fixed to the cylinder head side. An oil reservoir part 21 is provided in the thrust receiving part 19. Thus, lubricating oil can be sufficiently supplied to the thrust receiving part, and performance of lubrication and cooling can be improved. |
