PURPOSE:To prevent the defective fixing right after the start of printing and the scorching of paper during stoppage by setting the target temp. of a heat fixing roller during printing and during the stoppage of printing at respectively different temps. and executing control. CONSTITUTION:A printing control part 1, a heat sensitive element 3 attached near a heat roller 2, a temp. detecting circuit 4 bo be inputted with the output from the element 3 and a temp. control part 5 to be inputted with the two outputs from the circuit 4 and the control part 1 are provided. The output from the circuit 4 is made input to the part 1. The control part 1 sends the information on whether printing is started or under the stoppage to the control part 5. The control part 5 sets the target temp. at the tem. TS at which the scorching of the paper near the roller 2 is prevented during the stoppage of printing when said part receives the information that the printing is under the stoppage. Said part sets the target temp. at TP during the printing when said part receives the information that the printing is started. The generation of the defective fixing right after the start of the printing and the scorching of the paper during the stoppage is thus prevented. |
