PURPOSE:To provide an antistatic agent compsn. which has an excellent antistatic efect over a long period of time when incorporated in a resin, by blending an ampholytic alanine surfactant with a reaction product between a 1,2-epoxyalkane and monoethanolamine. CONSTITUTION:A 1,2-epoxyalkane of formula I (wherein R1 is a 10-28C alkyl) is reacted with monoethanolamine. 70-97wt% reaction product is mixed with 30-3wt% ampholytic alanine surfactant of formula II (wherein R2 is an 8- 28C alkyl, alkenyl, 2-hydroxyalkyl; M is H, Na, K, Ca, ammonium group of monoethanolamine; R3 is H, CH3, etc.) to obtain the desired antistatic agent compsn. When the compsn. is incorporated in a polyethylene or styrene resin, permanent antistatic properties can be imparted thereto. |
