PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body superior in triboelectrification acceptance and retentivity, sensitivity and durability by forming on a conductive substrate a photosensitive layer composed of a specified semicarbazone compd. as a photoconductor and a polymer binder. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body electrifiable to a positive polarity good in compatibility or dispersibility with or in the polymer binder, high in sensitivity and superior in durability and the like can be obtained by forming on the conductive substrate the photosensitive layer contg. the polymer binder, and an org. photoconductor represented by formula I in which A is alkyl, aralkyl, aryl or heterocyclic; n is 1 or 2; Y is -SO2R<1>, or a group represented by one of formulae II-VII; R<2> is same as A; R<2> and R<3>, R<4> and R<5> each may form a ring with each other, respectively, and this ring is composed of only C or a combination of C and one or more selected from O, N, and S, and when a ring is not formed, each of R<2>-R<5> is H or same as A; B is same as A; X is O or S; and m is 1 or 2. |
