PURPOSE:To improve the sort processing efficiency by detecting records including a null value in an input part and outputting null value detection results together with output records from sort cells. CONSTITUTION:Sort cells 1a-1n connected in series constitute a sorter 2. An input part 3 inputs plural records to the sorter successively. Individual records subjected to the sort processing by the sorter 2 are outputted through an output part 4. The input part 3 detects whether input records include the null value or not and transfers detection results together with records to the sorter 2. The sorter 2 controls the output order of records in accordance with null value detection results and values of input records and outputs null value detection results together with records. |
