The process concerns recovery of the residual charge fraction (I) on the adsorbent at the end of the adsorption phase of adsorptive removal of 5 cpds. (II), esp. H2S, COS and mercaptans, from a liquid charge fraction contg. 2+ C hydrocarbons, using at least 2 adsorbers operating cyclically with alternate adsorption and desorption phases. After introduction of a gas stream (III) at the end of the adsorption phase, (a) (I) is discharged with the residual (III); (b) the (I)-(III) mixt. is cooled, so that most of (I) condenses; and (c) the condensed (III) is sepd. from the mixt. Also claimed is the appts. used. |
