A resinous moulding includes two through openings 23a and a cavity 23b extending in a common direction. Brushes 12 are inserted into the openings and soldered to associated terminals fixed to the surface of the moulding on which a ground terminal is also disposed. An IC voltage regulator for a battery charging AC generator is formed on a ceramic substrate and disposed in the cavity. It includes three electrodes 308, 309, 310 soldered to the respective terminals. By utilizing two holes extending through the moulding in the same direction as the openings and cavity, the moulding is fixed to a bracket of the generator with the brushes electrically coupled to a field coil of the generator.
