<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication device capable of alleviating an authentication processing load while securing a necessary security level. <P>SOLUTION: The authentication device includes: a reading unit for reading a card ID of a card inserted into the device; an imaging unit for imaging the entire card from the front; an own-device information transmission unit for transmitting an own-device ID and the read card ID to an external authentication server; an extraction unit for extracting an area which is specified by end point coordinates received from the authentication server from a card image data obtained by imaging; and an authenticate area transmission unit for transmitting the own-device ID, the read card ID and the image data of the extracted area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
