FIELD: detection of hidden metal objects, applicable for detection of firearm hidden in the clothing or footwear of the examined person. ^ SUBSTANCE: the metal detector has an excitation coil and four receiving coils which together make up a unidirectional inductive pickup. The receiving coils are connected in pairs and together with the respective synchronous detector and threshold device make up two measuring channels. The signals of the two measuring channels are analyzed by a computing unit. The results are represented on a display. The control panel makes it possible to select the operating mode of the metal detector. ^ EFFECT: production of a special direction pattern of the pickup, as well as of an independent processing of signals of the two measuring channels provides for a high selectivity of the metal detector and a low level of false operations. ^ 4 cl, 9 dwg |
