DISTANCE DISPLAY DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC FOCUSING CAMERA

PURPOSE:To permit checking of distance information upon ending of photographing even in the stage of self-photographing when photographing while viewing through a finder is not feasible by keeping displaying the previous distance information as far as the next release operation is not made even after the automatic winding of a film is completed upon ending of the photographing. CONSTITUTION:The coil 6 of an electromagnet 5 is de-energized when a focusing ring 1 turns to the position corresponding to the subject distance detected by a range finder. A stop lever 4 is then turned clockwise by a spring 16 and a pawl part 4a is engaged with any among ratchet teeth 1c-1e to stop running of the ring 1. The tooth 2d of a display device 2 is thereupon engaged with the detaining part 3a of a detaining lever 3 as well by which the display lever is held in that position. A pointer 2g points the distance mark 13b of a finder 13 in this stage. A charge lever 7 moves again to the left cooperatively withe winding of the film when the film is automatically wound upon ending of exposing. Then the ring 1 turns clockwise to extend the photographing lens while charging a spring 8 and stops when the ring turns to the prescribed initial position. The ring is held in that position by the lever 7.
