<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the processing of an input/output signal line with decrease of the number of key input/output signals, by laminating transparent keyboards and distributing each electrode of input and output blocks to each layer of the lamination of transparent keyboards. CONSTITUTION:The upper surface sides of plural transparent keyboards set on the surface of a display device LCD are pressed with a pen, etc. Then an upper transparent substrate 1 has flexion to give a contact between either one of transparent electrodes x1-x4 for block output signal provided on the lower surface side of the substrate 1 and either one of transparent electrodes y1-y4 for block input signal provided on the upper surface side of an intermediate transparent substrate 2. Then either one of blocks (a)- (h) is detected. In this case, the substrate 2 also has flexion to produce a contact between either one of transparent x11-x14 for output signal provided on the lower surface side of the substrate 2 and either one of electrodes y11-y17 for input signal formed on the upper surface side of a lower transparent substrate 3. Thus a key input is detected. In such a way, a key matrix is divded into blocks. The positions of divided blocks are first detected. Then the key input is carried out in response to the characters displayed on a display device LCD by detecting the positions of the blocks with an input/output signal.</p> |
