PURPOSE:To detect exactly the descending condition of the packing material in a blast furnace by a simple means by detecting the load which the lance inserted and installed through the furnace wall into the packing material in the furnace receives, by strain measurement of a lance. CONSTITUTION:The load which the lance 3 of the water-cooled construction inserted and installed through the wall 1 of the blast furnace into the packing material 2 in the furnace such as coke, sintered ore, etc. receives according to descending of the material 2 is detected by strain measurement of the lance 3. More specifically, a strain gage 5 is attached into the lance 3 and the shape change of the lance 3 is fetched out as the fluctuating output of strain. The descending condition and descending speed are detected from the value thereof. In the figure, 6 denotes the device for analyzing the descending condition. The information on the actual descending speed near the furnace wall is obtd. by the above-mentioned method and therefore the effect of knowing exactly the flowing condition of the gas near to the furnace wall, etc. is obtd. |
