The method of repairing the worn ends of scrapers (1) for scraper conveyors in mining permits end wearing pieces (5, 6) to be welded in a simple manner over the entire surface to the opposite prepared scraper ends by flash butt-welding. The end wearing pieces (5, 6) have a flat end face (9) directed towards the scraper (1) and are held in place on a holding piece (10), projecting to the outside, between clamping jaws (15, 16) with essentially parallel clamping surfaces (15a, 16a).
