PURPOSE:To prevent strong variation of a level display and approximate the display to actual variation in display peak level by decreasing the display peak level gradually every elapse of a specific time from an input signal peak point. CONSTITUTION:Input signal data and output data of a down counter 13 are inputted to a level comparator 4; when the input signal data becomes larger, the input signal data is loaded in the down counter 13 and a timer circuit 3 is reset. Then, a carry output E' is outputted the specific time T1 later, a flip-flop circuit 10 is reset, and a gate circuit 11 enters an open state. The timer circuit 12 outputs a carry-out output I at intervals of time T2 shorter than the time T1 and the OR output J between the outputs E' and I is inputted to the down counter 13. Outputs of conversion tables ROMs 2 and 7, on the other hand, are inputted to a display element driving circuit 8 and the peak level and current input signal data level are displayed.
