PURPOSE:To join a light sandwich plate made by inserting a relatively thick resin layer between metallic plates and a metallic material provided with a projection simply, surely and economically by making projection welding at the projected part. CONSTITUTION:A light sandwich material A made by inserting relatively thick resin 12 in a body between a pair of surface and back side metallic plates 11, 11' and a metallic material B to be joined to the above provided with a projection 13 are superposed, and above-mentioned projection 13 is brought into contact with above-mentioned metallic plate 11. Then, above-mentioned metallic plates 11, 11' are electrically short-circuited by a short-circuit circuit 14. The light sandwich material A and the metallic material B are held between electrodes 15, 15' of a projection welding machine at the position of above-mentioned projection 13, and projection welding is performed. Thus, a weld zone 16 is formed, and the light sandwich material A and the metallic material B are joined by welding. |
