PURPOSE:To obtain a printing comparable to a dot matrix printer with a serial printer by dividing a printing code being fed from a host computer by (n) bits to print a corresponding dot pattern for each data of (n) bits. CONSTITUTION:When a bit image is specified, a printer shifts a type wheel as a whole and receives a data for one character from a host computer to be stored into an operation register ACC and a saving memory M1. Then, the contents of the operation register ACC are ANDed with HEXA number OFH and a printing is done when the results is not 0. When the results are 0, with a jump to 47, high-order 4 bits are printed. Then, the operation of AND with HEXA number FOH is completed and when the results are 0, a jump is made to a ribbon feed AA while a printing is done with a selected type wheel, when they are not 0. Thereafter, a ribbon feeding is done for one dot and the carriage is shifted to the subsequent position to complete the printing for one byte. |
