PURPOSE:To prevent detachment of a lower cover from being forgotton when an image carrier is set, by moving the lower cover of a lower aperture part of a cartridge, which incorporates the image carrier or the like, in the direction orthogonal to the axial direction of the image carrier in accordance with opening/ closing of a front door of a copying machine body. CONSTITUTION:An aperture part 214 provided in the lower side of a cartridge 21 incorporating an image carrier 7 is covered with a lower cover 24. The lower cover 24 is formed into a U shape with a cover part 24a and arm parts 24b and 24c, and end parts of arm parts 24b and 24c are supported freely turnably on the same axis as a shaft 7a of the image carrier 7. When a front door 27 is closed with a hinge 28 as the axis, a projection 27a attached to the front door 27 is brought into contact with an end part 24d of the cover 24, and an end part 21a is turned in the direction of an arrow E to open the aperture part 214. When the cartridge 21 is loaded to the copying machine body and the front door 27 is closed, the aperture part 214 is opened automatically; and thus, detachment of the lower cover is prevented from being forgotton. |
