A color selection electrode is suspended from the corners of the upright edge (3) of a display window (2) by resilient elements (25) that extend sustantially perpendicular to the electron beams deflected towards the corners. The resilient elements have apertures (28) which permit the elements to be placed on mandrils (31). The mandrils are embedded in the corners of the upright edge of the display window perpendicular to the planes of the resilient elements. A cap, provided for screening the electron beams from the earth's magnetic field, is connected to the mandrils (31) in such manner that the screening cap exerts no pressure on the resilient elements.
