PURPOSE:To obtain a new system current meter, by calculating the flow speed of a liquid or gas from the magnitude of the variation degree in fluid force received by the object placed in a fluid stream. CONSTITUTION:A resistor 1 vibrates before and behind, and right and left by the vibration in fluid force receiving from flow but said variation of the fluid force is divided into the variation in drag parallel to the flow direction and that in lift at right angles to said flow direction. Corresponding to this, a vibration converter 4 is also constituted so as to simultaneously detect vibrations in two directions, that is, in the direction parallel to flow as shown by the arrow and the direction at right angles to said direction and vertical of this paper surface and respective electric signals are sent to a summing amplifier 5, and added and amplified to be converted to a signal V(t) [wherein (t) is a time]. Then, a flow speed is known from the power spectrum W(t) of the output V(t) of the amplifier 5. |
