PURPOSE:To reduce the size of steering wheel by forming the core of rim section with an annular pipe core metal and an annular wire welded to said core metal then filling the gap between the core metal and the wire with synthetic resin while covering the core material with synthetic resin. CONSTITUTION:The core material 7 at the rim section 3 of steering wheel 1 is formed with an annular pipe core metal 5, and annular wires 6 welded with predetermined interval on the front face of core metal 5. Consequently, welded portions 9 and air gap sections 10 are formed with predetermined pitch between the pipe core metal 5 and the wire 6. The synthetic resin is filled in said gap section 10 while the rim core material 7 is covered with synthetic resin 8, resulting in firm adhesion of the rim core material 7 and synthetic resin 8. |
