PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering in image quality, which is caused by color shift between colors, of a multi-color printer by thermal transfer, by enlarging the dot diameter of yellow. CONSTITUTION:Separate Y, M, C color signals 12, and image and control signals 13 are sent to a control circuit 14 from a host 11 and the switch 16 mounted to a power source 15 is controlled by the separate Y, M, C color signals 12 and, in the case of the Y-signal among the separate color signals 12, a Y-power source 15a is connected to a thermal head driver 17 by the switch 16 and the control circuit 14 receiving M and C signals connects the switch 16 of the power source 15 so as to allow a power source 15b for M and C to connect to the thermal head driver 17. The Y-power source 15a is one of which the apply voltage is made high to enlarge the diameter of a Y-dot and the dot diameter becomes large to eliminate color shift. The dot 20 of Y is protruded from dots 2, 3 of M and C but is not so conspicuous. |
