PURPOSE:To easily control the life of a laser tube by recording the frequency of passing operation of media and frequency of success and failure in reading, and calculating the ratio of the recorded frequency of passing operation and frequency of success and failure in reading. CONSTITUTION:When a customer is offered service through an operator, the frequency N of conveying operation of articles 8 and the frequency M of reading at every time are recorded at a recording part 11. Reckoning is performed with an integration command button at the end of daily operation and the frequency N of conveying operation and the frequency M of reading which are stored in the recording part 11 are sent to the arithmetic part 13 of an electronic register 12. Then, their ratio, i.e. read rate C=M/N is calculated and printed at the tail of a daily integration journal. Then, when the read rate C decreases from a starting read rate C1 to a read rate C2 on average, it is estimated that the life T1 of the laser tube 10 expires. |
