NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower haloalkyl, lower alkoxy or phenoxy; n is 1-5; R<1> is lower haloalkenyl or lower haloalkynyl; R<2> is halogen). EXAMPLE:N-(2-Bromo-2-propenyl)-3-chloro-6-anilino-4-methylpyridazine. USE:Herbicide. It has excellent herbicidal activity against barnyard grass, bulrush, umbrella plant, and flatstage, no phytotoxicity to rice plant, high selectivity, and remarkably widened application period and herbicidal spectrum compared with conventional herbicides, and the compound is useful in the practical purpose. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared either by reacting a halopyridazine of formula II (X is halogen) with 1-10 equivalent of the aniline compound of formula III based on the compound of formula II in an inert solvent or in the absence of solvent, or by reacting the anilinopyridazine compound of formula IV with the halide of formula R<1>X.
