PURPOSE:To rotate a squirrel-cage rotor at a speed higher than the synchronizing speed of three times of the frequency of a power source by integrating a magnetic triple frequency multiplier and an induction motor. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical gap 5 is formed at the center of the second leg 3, and a squirrel-cage rotor 7 for an induction machine is disposed to be rotatable therebetween. Shading coils 8, 9 are provided at one sides of the two poles, and windings 13, 14 are formed on the leg 3, connected in series, and a capacitor 16 is connected between the terminals. When a single phase alternating voltage is applied between input terminals 10 and 11, triple frequency alternating magnetic flux is generated for the frequency of the power source in the leg 3, a revolving magnetic field of the synchronizing speed for the triple frequency is generated in a gap 5 by the operations of the coils 8, 9, with the result that the rotor 7 is rotated at a high speed. |
