PURPOSE:To enable to input data which is united with character information by providing a control marker that discriminates whether to be inputted as character information or inputted as image information. CONSTITUTION:When a user inputs drawing number as character information 1, a drawing as image information and product number as character information 2 from an input medium, a character information control marker 21 is detected by a mode control device 31, and the drawing number is read by a character information input control device 33 until an image information control marker 22 is detected, and converted to character code and stored in a main memory 35. For drawing similarly, information of area until detection of an image information control marker 23 and detection of character information control marker 22 is resolved to dots and inputted and stored in the main memory 35. Further, the product number is converted to character code and stored in the main memory 35.
