PURPOSE:To enable to apply standard-sized coating to a predetermined coating range in proper quantities, by a method wherein a heat-shrinkable tube is controlled so that lengths in an axial direction of the tube at the time of heat shrinkage becomes constant on the whole based on a mean thickness obtained by dividing the heat shrinkable tube by a weight per unit length or the length in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:A first diagram is a histogram of a weight and quantity per unit length of a heat shrinkable tube cut off in standard length. If the outside diameter, a thickness and density are D, t, and M respectively, X becomes X=piM[(D/2)<2>-{(D-2t)/2}<2>]=piMt(D-t). IN fourth illustration also 1 is the heat shrinkable tube prepared for coating whose cut off length, outside diameter and thickness are l, D and t respectively and 2 is a hot-melt inner layer tube. As the inside diameter of one end of the heat shrinkable tube 1 has been made to shrink beforehand to about the same diameter as the outside diameter of a bare conductor 4 as shown by a sixth illustration, a length L3 from one end of the bare conductor 4 becomes constant. |
