摘要 PURPOSE:To attain multiplication and division of optional two elements on a finite field in the program storage system by using a table generating an exponent from the element of the finite field and the element of the finite field from the exponent. CONSTITUTION:Data expressed in a vector alpha<i> is transferred from an RAM2 to an index register 8, an ROM11 is addressed via a bus 11, the exponent (i) is accessed from an ROM1 by using a table of a memory area 5 and stored in an arithmetic section 9 via a bus 13. Moreover, a vector alpha<j> from the RAM2 is taken as an exponent (j) similarly, stored in the arithmetic section 9, the arithmetic of (i+j) or (i-j) is performed by the arithmetic section 9, the result is stored in the index register 8, and fed as an address of the ROM1 via the bus 11. Then the vector expression value of alpha<i+j> or alpha<i-j> is stored in an accumulator of the arithmetic section via the bus 13 from the table of the memory area 6.
