PURPOSE:A heat insulating material, obtained by heat-treating a molded article of a phenolic resin at a specific temperature, capable of cutting off heat conduction to prevent the temperature rise of a brake working fluid by heat generated in a disk brake, having high heat insulating properties and heat resistance, and capable of withstanding high pressure due to hydraulic pressure. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating material obtained by heat-treating a molded article of a phenolic resin at 220-400 deg.C. The molded article to be used contains heat-resistant fibers (ceramic, glass or carbon fibers) in an amount within 30- 60wt% range as a filler. |
