PURPOSE:To reduce the time of decoding, by detecting only the changing point of a received run length code and then reproducing a picture signal with use of the changing point and a conversion table. CONSTITUTION:The run length codes S given from the communication circuit 1 are summed up by the counter 5 via the receiving circuit 2. The changing point, i.e., the result of totalization is set at ''1'' and then written into the buffer memory P successively. Then the contents of the memory P is read out by the reading circuit 7 and with every 4-bit addresses to be stored in the register 8. The output of the register 8 addresses the fixed memory part 10 that stores the conversion table (b) in the form of an address. The picture signal sent from the addressed conversion table is transmitted to the memory part 4. The signal memory part 9 gives a decision to white or black of the final bit of the picture signal and then stores 0 and 1 for white and black respectively. In such way, the time of decoding is reduced. |
