The device consists of a mounting section of the splitting wedge with a slot open towards the edge and of a screw passing through the slot. The slot has a narrowed portion towards the edge of the mounting section. The shank of the screw is stepped so that it fits through the narrowed portion with a part of smaller diameter and fits into the widened area of the slot, but not through the narrowed portion, with a part of larger diameter. <IMAGE>
