PURPOSE:To attain quick reading of a faulty point by coding a diagnostic point of a system constituted by a tree form hierarchy depending on the hierarchy, storing the code of a faulty point as the result of diagnosis, forming a table and analyzing the table. CONSTITUTION:In a system of tree from hierarchy constitution, e.g., a multiplex carrier communication system, the K stage is a multiplex transceiver of a carrier station, an SG stage is a multiplexer of a supergroup level a G stage is a multiplexer of each signal. Codes A, B are assigned to the K stage at the diagnostic point, 01-mn are assigned to the SG stage, 01-m'n' are assigned to the G stage and 01-pq are assigned to the ch stage. The diagnostic point is checked, the code of the diagnostic point detecting a fault is stored and when the diagnosis is circulated, the table is formed by using a code of a fault detecting point. The code data of the same digit is compared mutually from the upper digit, and when the code is coincident to the end, the next digit or the hierarchy are compared, and a faulty point is detected until the code is dissident. Thus, the memory capacity is decreased and the faulty point is detected quickly. |
