摘要 PURPOSE:To dispense with instruction lines which would be laid between locomotives, by providing a changeover valve between the output chamber of the control valve of one locomotive and its brake cylinder to shut off the output chamber when the locomotive is coupled as auxiliary engine to the other locomotive. CONSTITUTION:When a leading locomotive L1 and an auxiliary locomotive L2 are coupled together, their valves BV1, BV2 are put in operating positions. In the auxiliary locomotive L2, a switch SW is turned on to actuate a fourth solenoid valve MV4 to connect the chamber 13 of a first changeover valve 10 to a line MR and cause the valve 10 to disconnect the output chamber A of a control valve CV and a brake cylinder BC from each other. When the pressure in a line BP is normally decreased by manipulating the valve BV1 of the leading locomotive L1, its first changeover valve 10 connects a chamber 11 to another chamber 12 and its second changeover valve 20 connects a chamber 22 to another chamber 23 so that the pressurized air in the output chamber A of the control valve CV of the locomotive is supplied to its brake cylinder BC. At that time, the second changeover valve 20 of the auxiliary locomotive L2 connects a line EQP to the brake cylinder BC so that pressurized air from the leading locomotive L1 is supplied to said brake cylinder. The brakes of both the locomotives are thus made operable.
