PURPOSE:To simplify a floating and sinking work of a buoy, by a method wherein a hollow buoyancy body is watertightly attached to a sign buoy body having a lower end connected to a sink weight through a mooring rope, and an air feed and exhaust pipe is connected through the sign buoy body, and water pass holes are formed in the lower parts of the buoyancy body and the sign buoy body. CONSTITUTION:A hollow buoyancy body 1 is watertightly attached to a sign buoy body 2 having a lower end connected to a sinking weight 8 on the sea bottom through a mooring rope 7. An air feed and exhaust pipe 11 is connected to the sign buoy body 2, and the sign buoy body 2 and the hollow buoyancy body 1 are intercommunicated through a communication hole 10. Water pass holes 9 and 9' are provided in the lower part of the hollow buoyancy body 1 and the lower part of the sign buoy body 2. A battery chamber 4, and a light tool 5 are located to the upper part of the sign buoy body 2 through a watertight partition 3. By feeding air through the air feed and exhaust pipe 11, water in the sign buoy body 2 and the buoyancy body 1 is drained through the water pass holes 9 and 9' to yield buoyancy, resulting in raising of the buoy to the surface. Conversely, by exhausting the air, the buoy is lowered. A floating and sinking work of the buoy is simply conducted merely through feed and exhaust of the air.
