PURPOSE:To reduce pressure loss through an intake air passage and thereby improve volume efficiency of a cylinder chamber and increase an output thereof by providing an intake air deflecting device for deflecting an intake air flow flowing through an intake air passage connected to an inlet hole provided in the cylinder chamber and for injecting an air curtain. CONSTITUTION:A circular air intake hole 12 is formed at an eccentric position through a circular end surface of a cylinder chamber 11, and an air intake valve 13 is provided through the air intake valve 12 while an intake air passage 15 is connected with the aforesaid intake air passage 12. The intake air passage 15 is formed by a vortex flow generating part 16 provided at an end part of a passage communicated with the air intake hole 12 and allowed to surround the air intake valve 14, and an introducing part 19 excepting the aforesaid passage end part. An air nozzle 31 is rotatably connected with the inner sidewall side at the end of the introducing part 19 in a plane parallel to the end surface of the cylinder chamber 11. The air nozzle 31 is connected with a high pressure air source, and they constitute an intake air deflecting device 30 for deflecting an intake air flow flowing from the introducing part 19 into the vortex flow generating part 16 to the right and left in a plane parallel to an opening surface of the air intake inlet 12 and for injecting an air curtain. |
