PURPOSE:To improve the abrasion resistance and corrosion resistance of a ring, and to enable the stable running of a traveller to prevent the end breakage and fluffing, by applying a titanium carbonitride layer and a titanium nitride layer to the surface of a ring of a spinning frame made of carbon steel, etc. by particular chemical vapor deposition process. CONSTITUTION:The titanium carbonitride layer 2 is applied to a spinning frame ring made of carbon steel, alloy steel, tool steel or sintered steel at least at the surface of the part contacting with the traveller, by the chemical vapor deposition at a medium temperature (preferably 700-900 deg.C) to prevent the growth of the crystal grains and the decarbonization of the matrix. The titanium nitride layer 3 is applied to the surface of the titanium carbonitride layer 2 to obtain the objective ring. EFFECT:Rapid rusting of the ring in the spinning of PVC fiber, etc. can be prevented. |
