PURPOSE:To shorten man-hour required for debugging by sending out a write signal to an RAM unit through a target board having a ROM inserting socket, and writing a development control program in its substitute RAM. CONSTITUTION:A development system 1 is constituted of a console board 2 for operating an execution indicating instruction signal, memory file 3 of a development control program, and an ICE4 for imitating an MPU; and an ROM socket 8 is provided on a target board 13 having a write signal pin 14. Subsequently, an RAM unit 16 loaded with an RAM15 substituted for an ROM is inserted into the socket 8, also the pin 14 is connected to a write signal terminal of the unit 16, and write protection is applied to the RAM15 which is being debugged by a memory protecting circuit 17 having a write controlling switch of the unit 16. In such a way, a writer use of the ROM which is being debugged can be eliminated. |
