<p>PURPOSE:To attain slow and still reproduction in excellent way with no adjustment by detecting a tape position from a pilot signal included in a reproducing signal to decide a constant speed running time at tape feeding due to intermittent drive. CONSTITUTION:A tape stop position detector 52 outputs a region indication signal representing in which region of four divisions of one period the stop position exists at the magnetic tape stop of slow reproduction and still reproduction operation. When the stop position exists at a prescribed two-region, the device 52 outputs the region indication signal and a distance signal representing the distance from one end of the region. Then a running time deciding means 60 decides the constant speed running time of a magnetic tape in response to the output of the device 52 at the slow reproduction and still reproduction. The excellent slow reproduction and still reproduction are realized with no adjustment.</p> |
