发明名称 Change-Speed Gear Mechanisms
摘要 1,186,791. Change-speed control. VAUXHALL MOTORS Ltd. 20 Dec., 1968 [18 Jan., 1968], No. 2708/68. Heading F2D. Relates to a selective change-speed gear on a motor vehicle wherein four strikers 20 . . . 26 selecting six forward ratios, including one overdrive, and one reverse, are slidable on a common slide-turn or stationary selector shaft 10 and are selectively moved axially in either direction from neutral by a notch 54 in a selector bar 28, which lies parallel to the selector shaft 10 and, with the moving shaft shown, is rigidly attached thereto at one end at 32, the notch 54 being brought selectively into engagement with projections 56, 58, 62, 66, Fig. 4, axially aligned in neutral, the first, 56, on the striker 20, the remainder, 58 . . . 66, on extension bars 60, 64, 68 pinned to the other strikers 22 ... 26, by rotation of the selector shaft 10, the said striker-projections 56 . . . 66 also engaging a gapped interval arcuate groove 70 in an interlock segment 44 slidable axially on the T-sectioned selector bar 28 but prevented from axial movement by a fixed peg 46 engaging an external arcuate groove 48 in the segment 44, whereby the interlock segment 44 permits axial movement of only that selected striker the projection 56 ... 66 of which has been registered with the axial gap in the internal groove 70, by turning movement of the interlock segment 44 with the selector shaft 10. This invention is concerned with circumferential guidance of the selector portions 56 ... 66 of the strikers 20 ... 26. For this purpose the striker 20, which directly carries its shift-projection 56, is a master striker, prevented from circumferential movement about the selector shaft 10 by engagement of its shift-fork 20 with the corresponding coupling member (not shown) of the gear, and the selector portions 56 . . . 66 of the remaining strikers 22 ... 26 are maintained in fixed circumferential relationship with respect to it by keys, e.g. 80, on the selector portions 58 . . . 66 of their respective extension bars 60 . . . 68, slidably engaging axial keyways 86 in the striker 20, the strikers 22 . . . 26 themselves being located circumferentially by their coupling members as for the master striker 20. Where a stationary selector shaft is used, the locating member may be separate from the striker 20 and be fixed to or part of the shaft. Selective turning movement of the selector shaft 10 is normally restricted to that necessary for engaging only those two strikers 20, 22, selecting respectively 5: 4 and 3: 2 ratios, the further travel necessary to engage the I-R and 6 (overdrive) strikers 24, 26, being permitted by lifting, through a manual cable 96, a stop 98 out of a restricting arcuate groove (92). Fig. 5 (not shown), in the interlock segment 44, the further turning movement being then restricted by engagement of the segment 44 either with the striker 20, Fig. 7 (not shown), or again with the stop 88 itself, Fig. 8 (not shown). The selector shaft 10 is actuated by the forked end of a ball-mounted shift-lever 34 and is retained in axial gear and neutral settings by a spring-loaded ball-detent 14.
